I don’t trust The River, guess I’ll be sitting this float out.

I’ve had a look at the rapids, I’ve seen the edge of the falls,
Why would I listen to anyone who tells me - to heed The River’s calls?
The river asks me to sing out loud and share myself with the world

I’ve got more sense than that I’ll keep my life nice and safe and small.

I didn’t get what I needed, to be a risk taking man

I don’t hold my breath for fear that I might not like that day.

My backup plan is simple, I use it every day
